Why should I use the Washing Machine Cleaner to clean my washing machine?

It may be hard to believe, but your washer gets dirty too. Studies have found bacteria like salmonella and E.coli from diapers and underwear present in washing machines. This can leech onto your freshly washed clothes. In addition, soap residue, minerals, and chemicals from your laundry detergent can get left behind, inside your washing machine and create a thin film that traps bacteria.

How often should you clean your washer?

We recommend that you should deep clean the washing machine at least once a month. If you frequently wash heavily soiled items (diapers, workwear or pet bedding), increase the frequency, for example to every 30 washes or every 2 weeks.

What happens if you don't clean the washing machine?

If you don't clean your washing machine regularly all of that grime can build up inside the machine, as well as mildew. Have you ever opened your washer after several days only to have it smell wet, dank and musty? A smell that's somewhere between rotting leaves and a wet dog.

Can the type of water have an impact?

Many households have hard water, which can leave undissolved minerals behind in your washing machine after each wash cycle. Minerals build up over time, forming limescale and causing washer odours. This can also sometimes be accompanied by a powdery residue on just washed clothing.

Is vinegar bad for washing machines?

Some sources have recommended to use vinegar (acetic acid) to get rid of stains and odours. This is not recommended as the vinegar can damage the rubber seals and hoses in some washers to the point of causing them to leak. We have formulated the Washing Machine Cleaner to be a an eco-friendly alternative.

A better santizing alternative to Chlorine.

We have formulated our Washing Machine Cleaner to be a better eco-friendly alternative to chlorine. Hydrogen Peroxide is used as a safer more environmentally friendly option, it cleans, sanitizes and bio-degrades.
